Hope starts here

For more than 45 years, we have protected thousands of survivors of intimate partner violence across Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley Counties. We offer more than shelter — we provide crisis care, real support, and a path forward. We work tirelessly to give more survivors a chance at life.

Our core programs

Victim Services

Immediate, compassionate support when it’s needed most. Our Crisis Care helps survivors find safety, resources, and clarity during times of crisis. Victim Services include:

Emergency shelter / A safe haven offering housing, food, and personalized care.

Legal advocacy / Support navigating the legal system—before, during, and after court.

Crisis line / Immediate, confidential guidance from trained advocates.

Clinical Services

Through individual counseling and support groups, our trauma-informed clinicians support survivors with tools to aid in reclaiming their voice, dignity, and self-love. Clinical Services include:

Individual therapy / One-on-one support from a trauma-informed clinical therapist.

Support groups / Virtual small groups led by a trauma-informed clinical therapist.
