Our Programs
Children's Program
The Children's Program at My SisterŐs House was developed to better assist the children who are victims of domestic violence. The program provides educational and therapeutic activities for children ages four to 17.
The goal of the children's program is to provide advocacy, counseling and other forms of support for children who suffer the effects of violence. Education, time and space are given to the children as they begin the healing from their emotional wounds. They learn to nurture themselves and one another, and to recognize that their emotions and feelings are normal for what they have gone through.
By providing proper attention and counseling, we hope to see each child blossom in the shelter of My Sister's House.
Get involved!
The Children's Program always is looking for volunteers. Opportunities such as reading, tutoring and accompanying staff on childrenŐs outings in the community are available. Volunteers have a huge impact on the children and their emotional growth.
You also can help by donating items from our wish list. To get more information on supporting the Children's Program by volunteering or contributing to our Wishg List below, please Contact Us.
